50% of the global amount due upon registration, the remaining payment is due on the FIRST day of camp. Cancellation policy: the 50% deposit will not be refunded.
I hereby grant permission for my child to participate in activities including photographs and recordings, and I am aware that Dans'Atout may use such material in which my child apprears, for promotional, educational, or commercial purposes.
While Dans'Atout's first concern is always the security and safety of the children, its staff and administration are not responsible for any and all claims of loss, damage or injury to a person or property, however caused, including negligence, to any party arising directly or indirectly from the child's participation in the Dans'Atout day camp.
In case of emergency, I hereby authorize those responsible for my child's care to take the necessary measures to ensure my child's health and safety.
At Dans’Atout, we strive to provide an environment that is safe and fun, and one that makes a positive impact on children.
With this in mind, a Dans’Atout Dress Code is in effect and applicable to all campers participating in any of our camp programs. Your cooperation is appreciated. If your child does not meet the Dans’Atout Dress Code, you may be contacted and asked to bring an appropriate change of clothing for your child.
Dans’Atout Dress Code: Campers must wear comfortable clothing that is stretchy so that they made engage in dance activities. Proper dance shoes are not required but if your child has them, please bring them along. Bathing suits and towels and sunscreen are required. Please send hair elastics in your child’s bag so that they may tie up their hair while dancing or swimming. For their safety, campers may not wear big jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, or long earrings.
If your child requires medication of any kind while at camp, you must provide detailed instructions in writing. The written instructions and medication must be given in person by the parent to the camp supervisor each morning of camp. Epi-pens and asthma inhalers can be held on to by the child to whom they belong, but staff must be informed in writing that they will be carrying this with them throughout the day. Please be sure to review your child’s medical information when registering and update it when necessary.
It is important to pick up your child on time each day. If you are late, you may be required to pay a late fee of $5.00 per child in cash, for every 15 minutes or part thereof to the Dans’Atout staff member in attendance of your child. If you are stuck in traffic, your train is running late, etc, and are able, please call our office 514-366-4334 to let us know so that you child will not worry.
For the safety of campers and staff with life-threatening food allergies, foods containing any type of peanut/nut and peanut/nut by-products, are not permitted at camp. Campers are not allowed to share any food with fellow campers. Please stress the importance of this with your child in advance.
To reduce litter, we strongly encourage the use of litter-free packaging such as reusable plastic containers for your child’s lunch and snacks.
A microwave is available for the campers. There is no refrigerator so please use an icepack to keep lunches fresh. Please note that for Thursdays a cold lunch is required as campers may participate in outings.
Campers are required to bring a healthy lunch, 2 snacks, and water to keep hydrated.
Although every effort is made to ensure belongings are properly collected throughout the day, it seems inevitable children will lose something at camp. Please ensure all your child’s belongings are properly labelled with his/her first & last name.
All items left behind at camp are displayed daily for campers to look through. Parents are also welcome to search through the lost & found items by visiting the camp during operational hours.
All unclaimed items are held for 1 week, after which, they are disposed of or donated to a charitable organization.
DO NOT SEND VALUABLE ITEMS TO CAMP such as iPods, Cell Phones, Cameras, Jewellery, expensive clothing etc.
Dans’Atout and its staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items
Some scheduled program activities may be cancelled due to the weather. Although we will do what we can to re-schedule the missed activities, this is not guaranteed. We will continue to work hard to ensure all campers have a great camp experience, rain or shine, and appreciate your understanding.
We will do everything possible to avoid program cancellations; however, we reserve the right to do so if necessary. In this circumstance, we will accommodate your child in an alternate week or we will provide you a full refund.
Cancellations must be made by email email@example.com. The 50% deposit paid at registration will not be refunded. The post-dated cheques for the balance of the fees will be returned. Cancellations made mid-week during the session are non-refundable.
If your child cannot attend camp for medical reasons, please contact our office. A credit note will be issued upon receipt of a doctor’s note. No other exceptions will be made.
Camp registrations are non-transferable.
A fee of $20 will apply to any declined cheque payments.
At Dans’Atout, we strive to offer a positive, safe and respectful environment for all, and encourage all campers to demonstrate respectful and appropriate behaviour towards their peers and the camp staff. Please review the guidelines of behaviour below with your child before they attend camp.
At Dans’Atout, safe, respectful and appropriate behaviour includes:
Campers require a LaSalle Citizen Card (or Montreal Card) available free of charge at the library.
Campers require a clean change of clothes in a ziplock bag to be left at camp for the week.
Regular outings or special activities are usually scheduled on Thursdays and are not mandatory. Outing costs are extra and payable by the parent.
Every Friday the campers will put on a show for the parents displaying the theme of the week and everything they have learned. The demonstration is from about 4:00 to 4:30 pm. Campers may be asked to wear a specific colour (such as white and black) for the demonstration.
If a camper will not be present for a day they are required to advise Dans'Atout as soon as possible by phone 514-366-4334, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or text msg 514-815-4635. Missed days are non refundable or transferable.
